Do you know the game portal 1/2? Think of it like that. The swords never touch the outside ring of his portals, only the inside. Finrals spatial magic is teleportation/defense unlike his brothers, and the dude from the eye of the midnight sun.

The swords asta was holding in Julius’ time bubble don’t actively absorb magic, asta would need to slice it. Also, the witch queen says that asta has been subconsciously turning the power on and off. If the sword cancels all magic, why can it reflect magic?

it looks rusted to show how old is it,but in fact its because of the anti-magic (or demon magic that made the swords that way),you see the change when the true owner take the swords in his hands and become light swords.

if the swords where rusted,you could say Asta use poison damage,because rust is like a poison for human organism.
